Your D91 Spring Conference Team from Area A1 have been beavering away furiously, on what is going to be a fantastic weekend of Laughter, Learning and Lightbulb Moments. Date for your diary 5-7 May. The Programme is pretty much finalised now, and you can find all the details on our website www.springconference91.org. In addition to the Council Meeting, International Speech and Evaluation contests we have:
- Keynotes and Workshops from TI President Jim Storkey and 1995 World Champion of Public Speaking Mark Brown.
- Six additional workshops (two on Saturday and four on Sunday) covering a range of speaking and leadership related topics.
- Gala Dinner on Saturday Evening
Following a frantic, last-minute rush to beat the early bird registration deadline, bookings are continuing to come in steadily, and we are expecting another flurry as soon as the Division contests have taken place. It’s always a nail-biting team for the conference organisers as Toastmasters are nototiious for last minute bookings. If you are planning to attend, please book as early as possible to help the organising team budget sensibly for the event. Accommodation requirements should be booked directly with the DeVere Grand Harbour Hotel. They won’t charge you up-front, but they will need a credit card number to hold your reservation.
A special Message for anyone who has NEVER been to a D91 Conference
We believe strongly that events like this are for ALL Toastmasters. We’ve priced it as competitively as we can to make it accessible to the maximum number of people. And, we’d like to extend a special invitation to anyone who has never been to a conference before. We promise that you’ll receive a warm welcome and made to feel special. We’re working on some top secret ideas to achieve this, and we’ll release more in due course. In the meantime, we urge you to come along and discover the magic of a Toasties Conference for yourself. It’s a fabulous investment in your own development and great fun too!
And finally – Our D91 conference video seems to be very popular. Since it was uploaded to Youtube and Facebook, we have had almost 3000 views, producing lots of likes, loves and positive comments from Toastmasters and non-Toastmasters alike. If you haven’t seen it, do take a look and then share it with your social media network. As well as promoting the conference, it’s a great way to get new people interested in Toastmasters.
We are planning a fabulous conference but we need your help and more importantly your attendance. Come and join us.
