Become a Club Mentor
As an experienced Toastmaster you will have felt the benefits of joining your club; You feel more confident, and enjoy enhanced communication and leadership skills. You may have remained loyal to the first club you ever attended, or been a member of multiple clubs all at once or over the years. In each instance though you will have been glad to have found a thriving successful club, and by becoming a Club Mentor you will ensure a brand new club becomes a thriving successful club where yet more people can find their voice.
As a Club Mentor you will:
- Draw upon your experience to guide and support club leaders
- Attend their meetings, showcasing how to perform roles
- Guide the club through teething problems
- Be a friendly face that fills in the blanks – “What is pathways?”
- Expand your network of Toastmasters Contacts
As an experienced Toastmaster, becoming a Club Mentor opens up a wealth of new leadership skills, as you help a club find its feet and become established. Once appointed you will serve for a minimum of six months alongside a fellow Club Mentor.
You can mentor a club either within your District or outside your District and once you successfully mentor the club you will also receive credit towards your Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award.
To become a Club Mentor you must:
- Be a paid member in good standing with Toastmasters International.
- Not be an existing member of the club at the time of appointment.
