What is the District Council?

The District Council (DC) includes the District Executive Committee (DEC) plus the Club President and Club Vice President Education of each club in good standing within the District. It is the administrative governing body of the District and is responsible for holding the District Leadership Team to account. Major decisions affecting the future of Clubs and Members in the District are made by the District Council during the two meetings held each year. These decisions include:

• Approving the annual District budget and reviewing the District’s Finances.
• Approving the alignment of clubs to Areas and Divisions.
• Electing the incoming District Director, Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director and Division Directors during the spring meeting of the District Council.
• Approving specific District Procedures affecting the operations of the District.
