District Leadership Committee

Summary

The District Leadership Committee (DLC)  seeks out and evaluates all candidates for District elected roles and nominates the best candidate(s) for election at the annual District Council Meeting.

Description

The District Leadership Committee will evaluate all candidates that were nominated by the deadline according to Protocol 9. The committee’s report will be then issued to the District Director and published on this website.

The District Leadership Committee (DLC) is responsible for nominating individuals for the following elected positions:

  • District Director (DD)
  • Program Quality Director (PQD)
  • Club Growth Director (CGD)
  • Division Directors (for Divisions A, B, C, D, H, J, L)

Please note, in District 91 the appointment of the incoming District Administration Manager, Finance Manager and Public Relations Manager is a personal decision of the incoming District Director, subject to approval by the District Executive Committee.

Nominations

The dates and details of the process for the 2027/28 team nominations will be shared by the 2026/27 DLC Chair Debbie Williams DTM in due course. 

Candidates who wish to nominate themselves, or another member wishing to nominate a candidate, must complete the following four forms below and submit them by email to the District Leadership Committee Chair.

  1. District Leader Nominating Form
  2. Officer Agreement and Release Statement
  3. Candidate Application Form (NB: Please note the requirement for a screen shot of the ‘Offices held” section of your Toastmasters profile for verification.)
  4. District Officer Biographical Information
  5. Please also provide a Professional headshot (photo)

Eligible floor candidates must declare their intention to run, in writing to the DLC Chair, after the DLC report has been published and at least 7 days prior to the annual District Council meeting in May, when the elections will take place.
