Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:

Working professional with more than 15+ years in leadership and management. delivered on my Toastmasters leadership roles successfully. In addition to this served as a Professional Development Director for PMI UK (during 2013-15 & 2019-2020) as a Volunteer and successfully delivered to 4000+ Members in the area of Mentoring, Leadership and Professional skills.

What experience do you have in strategic planning?

Delivered successful area contests, division K conferences and learnt immensely in planning for workshops with engaging relevant stakeholders, spotting the resources and collaborations.
Plan for all the yearly calendar of activities at gross level and roll out detailed plans and execution 4-5 weeks in advance of the events. adopt the lessons to subsequent activities adding value and quality.

What experience do you have in the area of finance?

Forecasting the budgets for various activities.
Allocating budgets based on priorities, Spend Control.
Reconciling Expenses, Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Accounting.
Need upgrading myself to District Finance Procedures & policies.

What experience do you have in developing procedures?

On my roles I have created / used Workflows, RACI charts, Trello Dashboards for detailed activities.
Gained insights in preparing Brochures and Booklets.

What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?

There is always scope for improvement

Sometimes things may not go as planned, leading those situations is the key to be a great leader. Continuous learning and applying situational awareness helps as key ingredients in such situations.

Why do you want to serve as a District leader?

To support the Toastmasters community to thrive and advance my leadership skills in hybrid environment.

In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?

Capture the challenges, opportunities from all clubs in the Division, engage on regular basis driving the toastmaster’s mission. building and nurturing leadership teams at club levels. promoting the brand etc.
