Update from District PR Manager, Helena Brewer

We’re now three quarters of the way through this Toastmasters Year. It’s been wonderful working with so many members from across our district. I’m sure the next three months will continue to delight, surprise and have plenty of wows!

In the last newsletter, the focus was on Talk Up Toastmasters, particularly radio interviews. The response to the call to radio arms has been really positive. I thank you all for your hard work and reports back on your radio interviews. It’s a pleasure to read about your experiences and thank you for sharing with me. At rather short notice, on a Friday evening, I was asked to give a radio interview on leadership on Talk Radio (starts at 17:26). Having been given an allocated slot to 10 to 15 minutes, the presenter Jonny Gould and I had a wonderful conversation, which appears to have lasted 34 minutes. I enjoyed the experience and as ever, learnt from the opportunity.

Another avenue for you to explore is local TV. There are now several local TV channels in District 91. If you are in Oxford, Southampton, Bristol, Cardiff and London, why not contact your local TV channels and line up an interview with them? Then share the experience with the rest of us.

PR Articles

I’ve been asked about the PR articles which our members have had published over the year. For ease here’s a selection of links from some of the publications they have appeared in. Enjoy.
