Club Officer Training
There are two Club Officer Training sessions each year:
Round 1 (Summer) from 1st June – 31st August
Round 2 (Winter) from 1st November – 28th February
We are now in the Round 2 training period. The training is for 3 hours and can be run in a single 3-hour session or 3 x 1-hour sessions. The Division Directors will run the 3-hour sessions. These can be either in person or online – we strongly recommend these are in person wherever possible. The District will run the 3 x 1-hour session events.
The three parts are:
Part 1: Achieving continuous club success
Role Specific: Individual breakout sessions for each role
Part 2: Member Engagement and Retention plus Succession Planning
Each club officer must attend 3 hours of training for one role. If they hold more than one role, they are only required to do an extra Role Specific training for each of the extra roles they hold.
Registration and management of the training will be through ToastHost, as in the previous training, or 3 x 1-hour sessions online. We strongly recommend the training is run in person wherever possible. All dates to be entered on the ToastHost schedule and the D91 calendar, linking the ToastHost page.
This Round 2 of Club Officer Training is focused on club progress since the beginning of the Toastmasters year. It covers club successes, club challenges, member and club achievements. It looks at how to move forward toward a strong year-end finish filled with Distinguished Club goal achievements by 30 June.
The training materials are linked and explained below. They are some of the best we’ve ever had. They are interactive and cover real-club scenarios. All club officers are encouraged to participate in the training – it will help them in their roles, help them grow as well as support their members and clubs as a whole. The materials listed in the tables below can also be downloaded in a single zip file from the Toastmasters International website
